The Conservative Mennonite movements in Ontario, 1950 to the present
There are many Conservative Mennonite Churches in the rural areas around New Hamburg, Milverton and Elmira and scattered throughout Ontario. This Conservative movement, which grew out of the Mennonite Conference of Ontario and the Ontario Amish Mennonite Conference in the late 1950s, has a complex history with little written about it. Come out and learn!
10:00 a.m. Mennonite Historical Society of Ontario business meeting followed by:
“The Birth and Development of the Conservative Mennonite Movement in Ontario”
by Andy Martin of Elmira.
12:15 p.m. Lunch will be served by members of Grace Mennonite Fellowship Church
1:00 – 4:45 p.m. Bus tour of Conservative Mennonite churches with stops at:
Grace Mennonite Fellowship Church, New Hamburg
Morningstar School, Millbank (operated by Milverton Conservative Menn Church)
Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church, Millbank
The tour will be led by Earl Koch, minister at Grace Mennonite Fellowship Church.
Pre-registration is required for the lunch and bus tour. Everyone is welcome to come for the lecture.

There will also be an opportunity to take out a new membership or to renew your membership if you haven't done so. If you are not attending the meeting, you may send your renewal to the Mennonite Historical Society of Ontario at Conrad Grebel University College, 140 Westmount Rd. N., Waterloo Ont. N2L 3G6. Family memberships are $20; individual memberships are $15. There is no charge for attending the meeting, but a free-will offering will be taken.
